Projects + Local Partnerships

These events will take place at the LCAR facility on the fourth Saturday of each month, from 1pm to 3pm from May – October. Designed for individuals with disabilities and PTSD, this program offers a supportive environment at no cost to attendees.
Our arena is fully accessible for wheelchairs and walkers, ensuring everyone can participate comfortably. Join us for therapeutic interactions with our horses and a chance to experience the healing power of these remarkable animals.

In 2005, Cindy began helping the Linn County Sheriff ’s Office with horse rescues,  law enforcement seizures or voluntary surrenders. Since then, Linn County Animal Rescue has assisted with more than 250 law enforcement animal seizures in seven Oregon counties.
We do not buy or sell animals; instead, we have stringent adoption procedures to ensure they find the right forever home, preventing them from moving from one difficult situation to another. Horses that are not adoptable due to age, condition, or health become lifetime residents with us.

YouthBuild programs support young people aged 18 to 24 in earning their GEDs or high school diplomas while gaining valuable job skills. Participants assist community partners with a range of projects, including construction, land restoration, and essential maintenance, providing them with hands-on experience and training in marketable skills.
