CURRENT NEEDS:

BACKHOE donation (or funds to pay for a backhoe) desperately needed for landscaping (drainage ditches, leveling building sites, etc.) and for burying horses who have passed or who have had to be put down due to extreme circumstances. Volunteer
We are always looking for reliable volunteers to help with administrative functions, fundraising and at community events.

Sponsor A Horse through Scarlett’s Friends
We have horses that are not adoptable that are looking for someone to sponsor them to help with their care. Most are senior horses that are retired to pasture to live out their life but need special care and feed. We have a monthly contribution program (Scarlett’s Friends) to provide support for all our senior horses.
Or, you can apply at LCAR to sponsor a rescued horse. If you want, we can help you pick out a special horse to sponsor. You can even make an appointment to come to the facility to meet the horse. We will give you pictures and updates of the horse’s progress.

The care and boarding of a horse costs $250-350 (or more, depending on special needs) a month to keep properly. Your monthly donation can be set up right here
We’ve set up some categories that we think will work for most anyone who wants to provide ongoing support for me and all the buddies here at LCAR.
All you have to do is select the option that’s right for you from the choices in the drop down menu. (There’s Friend at $5.00/month, Supporter at $10.00/month, Guardian at $25/month and Benefactor at $50/month.)
Then click on Scarlett’s face in the feed bucket and you’ll be taken right to PayPal where you can pay with a credit card or your PayPal account.
Then every month your donation is automatically taken care of for you.
OR, if you want to donate a couple sacks of feed ($10 to $15 each), that would be great. You would be encouraged to visit by appointment your special horse. Or if you just want to give to all the horses, that is welcomed also.
And, of course, your donations are tax deductible.
